                        No.F.6(15)/2015-LGE(S):—  Whereas, according to Article 218(3) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan “It shall be the duty of the Election Commission to organize and conduct the election and to make such arrangements as are necessary to ensure that the election is conducted honestly, justly, fairly and in accordance with law, and that corrupt practices are guarded against”.

                        Whereas, schedule for election of reserved seats, administration of oath to the elected councilors and subsequent elections for Chairmen/ Vice Chairmen and Mayors/ Deputy Mayors etc. was issued in the province of Sindh vide Notification No.F.6(15)/2015-LGE(S) dated 9.6.2016 and similarly, schedule for bye-elections was issued in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vide Notification No.F.7(2)/2015-LGE-KPK (Vol-IV)(1) dated 10.6.2016 respectively as per the relevant clauses of the Local Governments Acts of the provinces concerned.
